Hear the tale of the star-crossed lovers that the trail is named after and view the tunnel from above. Hike along the mostly paved trail to the overlook and learn about the legend behind the name. The trail does have steps and is just under a one-mile round trip. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

Every Friday night, pickers of all levels and from throughout the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia descend upon Allen Hicks Friday Night Jams, a converted basement garage at 1844 Bethel Road. This is a spot to hear some great music, meet wonderful folks and, when concessions are open, grab the best peach cobbler in the world, made the old-fashioned way in an iron skillet.
