This event will also feature a Cruze-in Car Show, food vendors, and special entertainment by illusionist Joseph Young.

Earlier that day, the Town of Gate City and the Gate City Civitans will present a “Movie in the Park” at Grogan Park, from noon to 9 p.m.  There will be hot dogs and hamburgers, inflatables during the day.  Bring a picnic basket, blanket and your friends for this family-friendly free event, with a showing of the movie, “Sandlot,” beginning at dusk.

The next Summer Concert event is scheduled for Aug. 7, 5-9 p.m., featuring Asylum Suite and Night Train, a Guns and Roses Cover Band.

The event is free and will also feature a Cruze-in, food vendors Backdraft BBQ and Yum Yum,  and the Jenkins School of Dance.

The series ends with “Welcome to the Jungle” on Sept. 4, featuring Borderline, Retroville, Head Games, a Foreigner cover band, plus Jenkins School of Dance.  Both Backdraft BBQ and the Yum Yum food trucks will be at the event.
