• In 1915 the Daniel Boone Trail was marked through North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The Trail begins on the Yadkin River and ends at Boonesborough.
Weber City is located in a historic gap just outside Gate City along Rte 23, and is now home to many modern conveniences.
Daniel Boone blazed a trail through Big Moccasin Gap in 1775, leading the way for thousands of settlers heading west. You can follow in their footsteps along the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail driving route. While you're at it, stop by the Homeplace Mountain Farm and Museum to see the chores and challenges of surviving rugged mountain life.
Weber City is also next door to the North Fork of the Holston River, which offers remote paddling opportunities and trophy smallmouth bass. Once you've worked up an appetite, visit one of the town's restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and other services.
