Description: Spend the day on a guided hike in the Jefferson National Forest. Hike along an old railroad bed constructed around the early part of the 1900’s for logging purposes. The hike is 2.75 miles one way and the difficulty is moderate to strenuous due to change in elevation, bridge crossings, and climbing over a few large rocks and boulders. Guests will be able to view two naturally made waterfalls, hike through a gorge, and hear water roaring over large boulders and rocks. There are restroom facilities at the beginning of the trail. Lunch and water are required along this trip. There are no trash bins at the falls. Guests are responsible for their own trash. Sturdy hiking shoes are required. For your safety no flip-flops, crocs, or sandals. No pets please. Cost is a $5 donation per person. Minimum age is 10 years or older. Pre-registration is required by calling (276) 940-2674.
