Weber City is located in an historic gap just outside Gate City along Rte 23, and is now home to many modern conveniences.
Daniel Boone blazed a trail through Big Moccasin Gap in 1775, leading the way for thousands of settlers heading west. You can follow in their footsteps along the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail driving route. While you’re at it, stop by the Homeplace Mountain Farm and Museum, which was once a living history museum that now offers lodging and beverages.
Weber City is also next door to the North Fork of the Holston, which offers remote paddling opportunities and trophy smallmouth bass. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, visit one of the town’s restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and other services.
Weber City Recreation Complex: playground, four lighted tennis courts, beach/sand volleyball, tee ball, walking trail, picnic area, basketball courts, concessions and fitness stations.
